Okay, it's not Jude's fault that triangles and I don't get on, but there were sooo many in this, that after Hadley's from last month I nearly howled! She got infected by Mrs Fying Blind's cheekiness too, not in asking for a super-block, but asking for 2 totally different ones, I must plot better for my next turn... Anywho, here's my 2 blocks. I didn't do what other over-achievers in the group have done, and start reusing all the wee triangles cut off the purple one for an 'extra', that way madness lies, and I have few enough marbles as it is ;o)

I have to agree with you about triangles. I can win the battle but what a battle it is!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't really do too many triangles, I think they're best avoided but they look fab- did you get yours right first time though, unlike some of the buttkissers, sorry, overachievers!!!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I quite like a good triangle. I'm rather looking forward to getting stuck into these blocks when I get home tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOh good for you! I wasnt going to either but then... well... you know...
ReplyDeleteOh wow they'd make you sit up and pay attention to points, wouldn't they? Yours look just perfect.
ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful!
ReplyDeletePointy perfect my dear.
ReplyDeleteI think you pretty much nailed them, painless, really I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteYou did it and survived to tell the tale. HSTs are fun!
ReplyDeleteI love HSTs but always have to trim! Lovely blocks.
ReplyDeleteWe can't all be over achievers can we? If we were then we'd be the same and not over achieving - let them get on with it! Nice blocks by the way!
ReplyDeleteSome lovely colours there - I certainly don't blame you over the triangles - I went spare over some of the Farmer's Wife ones.
ReplyDeletePomona x
How purdy! They're just streeetching your skills for funsies! :>
ReplyDeleteAm I missing something???? HSTs are almost as excellent as hexies! One straight line and then they are a square!
ReplyDeleteDespite the grief those triangles seem to have wrought the blocks look lovely.
ReplyDeleteWant me to start looking for some really hard blocks for you to ask for next time as payback?
The tri-anger-les look brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThey look perfect.
ReplyDeleteThey look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAw so sorry chick you didn't have a good time with these! I thought I was making life easier for you by sizzix cutting them. Will do better next time for you! Jxo
ReplyDeleteThey look fine! You did a great job, and I'm with Shay-have her dig up payback blocks :)
ReplyDeleteI made the bottom one in January (2 of them) and they are definitely the blocks from hell! Yours are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDespite your not loving sewing triangles, both blocks look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWell these look pretty wonderful to me!! :)
ReplyDeletei love that purple block and i am not a super purple person. nicely done in the triangle department
ReplyDeleteI should probably know this - is the purple one full of Judith's vintage sheets?
ReplyDeleteI've just spent a lovely 20 minutes catching up on your creations and random rambles. Indi star looks great, fab quilting. I'm with you on the triangles, but they do look good, and a suggestion - don't get the quilting clips, go to pound land and get hair clips, 100 for £1 last time I got some!
ReplyDeleteIt may have been a pain to make, but the purple block is very effective
